Shumaker, P.E., has been elected Secretary of the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC NY). This position will ultimately allow Ms. Shumaker to transition to Chairman of ACEC NY. Linda Shumaker has over 33 years of experience in the engineering industry and has been Managing Principal of Shumaker Consulting Engineering & Land Surveying, P.C. since 1992. Ms. Shumaker is honored by this distinction and is looking forward to serving the member companies throughout New York State.

Whittaker, an Engineer in our Utica office, have completed their Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) from New York State. Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering is the first phase of becoming a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.). SCE’s Managing Partners are very proud of their success and desire to become Professional Engineers.

BINGHAMTON, NY - We are pleased to announce that Larry Fairchild, P.E. has joined the Shumaker Consulting Engineering & Land Surveying, D.P.C. (SCE) team as Aviation Manager. Mr. Fairchild brings more than 38 years of experience to SCE. Mr. Fairchild obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering from R.P.I and has held the following positions during his career: County Engineer, Transportation Service Group Manager, Director of Aviation, and several senior management positions with a national consulting engineering firm. He is an expert in airport design services, which he has provided this service for nearly 40 airports in the Northeast.
