SHUMAKER ENGINEERING WELCOMES LISA C. DOLPHIN, P.E.



Shumaker Consulting Engineering & Land Surveying, D.P.C. is proud to announce, Lisa C. Dolphin, P.E. has joined the firm and has established a new Water Resources Division. The group will be providing engineered flood resilience solutions to flooding problems across New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New England. Niche services provided under Lisa’s leadership include floodplain management and mitigation, stream restoration and stabilization, stormwater management, FEMA approvals, and dam safety. Lisa is a natural coach and mentor, actively encouraging others to grow and succeed. She approaches each opportunity with optimism and a passion to improve the resiliency and safety of our communities with sound engineering solutions. 


Lisa has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Penn State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Connecticut, Florida, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Lisa also holds certifications from the Association of Energy Engineers – Certified Sustainable Development Professional (CSDP) and EnviroCert International – Certified Professional in Erosion & Sediment Control (CPESC). Lisa is active in the following professional and community organizations: ACEC – Environment and Energy committee member; ACEC NY- Southern Tier Region committee member; ASCE – Environmental and Water Resources Institute member; and ACHIEVE – a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
