Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design(LEED ®) provides standards for environmentally suitable construction and provides a healthy place to live and work.
Engineers, architects, construction managers, lenders and government officials incorporate
projects with LEED sustainability. State and local governments across the country are adopting
LEED for public-owned and public-funded buildings. This sustainability results in a building
that is efficient while greatly reducing its carbon-footprint.
SCE is fully prepared to implement the new LEED® 3.0 rating system as it transitions
into the industry throughout 2009.
